Baby This Will Be My Year (or The Obligatory New Year Post, 2014)
Then, I'll finally write that story that has been in my head since 2012.
And I'll be running and swimming and boxing that I will always be sore almost every day.
The Obligatory End of the Year Post, 2013
Another 'of course,' I'm gonna be talking about how my 2013 was. So here goes
I want to write, code and create. I can't just be doing one of those for the rest of my life.
My love life is still non-existent. Sometimes I'm okay with that. Sometimes not. Actually, I still haven't felt 'the connection' with anyone. You know, that tingly-sparkly-cue-in-fireworks feeling. It scares me that maybe he-who-must-not-be-named has taken away all of my pheromones. What?!
My high school friends and I will be friends for life. Because Charlie quoted someone saying friendships that passed the seven year mark are likely to last forever. That's really good to know. Take out the 'likely.' We'll last forever.
I will always be mommy's girl. She went on a vacation here for a month and, the baby that I am, I slept with her just like the old times. And I still cried when she went back to Texas. Damn, I miss her.
Okay. I think that's about it. My mind is flat-lined now. I can't think of anything else. I'll try to make my life exciting next year so I'll have something to post here.

Alone in Middle Earth
I can't remember how many times I've tried to watch LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring. And in all those times, I never got to the middle. There was something s...l...o...w about it.
But I have seen the Two Towers. It was pretty good even though I didn't really watch the first movie. The fight scenes were all bad-ass specially the one in the battlefield (that's all I can remember but I know they were bad-ass).
I haven't seen the third one...
Then came The Hobbit movie. The first one. Now you see, I read The Hobbit book many, many years ago. That means I can't remember what's in there but it made me want to watch the movie adaptation (after a year it was released). It was okay because they just 'journeyed' through the movie. What caught me was the end, or the 'there will be a sequel' beginning.
I've seen the trailer and now I've seen the movie. Alone. Uh-huh. Today was my first time watching a movie alone. But it was worth it, and I might do it again. I sat eye-level to the screen and in the middle-of-the-row chair. It felt like I own the theater.
So, the Desolation of Smaug... Unicorns. On the scale of 1 to ten, it's 15. Take the Two Towers and multiply its bad-ass-ness to 100. It was so good. Awesome. Epic. The fight scenes, ugh. And then those sexy elves (no, I'm not a fan of Legolas but Thranduil... hands down.) and Bard (heart!) and ugly orcs and Smaug (that dragon is so full of himself). I fear for the people of Lake-town. Please December 2015 come quick.
